Oh, A relation long and old

A place of grace suspends in space

Home to the human race

Where mice and men had played with fire and scared off birds of prey

Kings and queens of the mezzanine scoffed and had their way

Everyone who has ever lived, and those still destined to die

Six feet under, all alone

Molten blood still glows

What I am to the tallest peaks, same as you are to the sun

I’d say this soiled speck of dirt is worth all its weight in gold

Lying on the ground patiently

The pale blue dot and me

Falling effortlessly

The pale blue dot and me

Around in circles, frequently

The pale blue dot and me

Eclipsing bodies, totality

The pale blue dot and me

Oh, defending it today is bold

This time by a rhyme amongst the chime

Of a spirit’s pantomime

All we have to leave behind are thin filled polymers

All we have to show for it are cold-faced raconteurs

Everyone who’s informative, and those still set to deny

Part of the ship, part of the crew

No longer two by two

What I am to the tallest peak, same as you are to the sun

I’d say this soiled speck of dirt is worth all its weight in gold

Lying on the ground patiently

The pale blue dot and me

Falling effortlessly

The pale blue dot and me

Around in circles, frequently

The pale blue dot and me

Eclipsing bodies, totality

The pale blue dot and me

What a beautiful place

Can’t be replaced

Can’t leave a trace
